Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Prince & Mercer Communication Pte Ltd (Registration No. 202217197N), a company registered in Singapore, trading as CareerStudio (“CareerStudio,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). CareerStudio is a division of Prince & Mercer Communication Pte Ltd.
Definitions:
“CareerStudio” refers to the resume writing and career counseling service provided by Prince & Mercer Communication Pte Ltd.
By engaging our services, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Services Provided
CareerStudio offers professional resume writing, cover letter creation, LinkedIn profile optimization, career counseling, interview coaching, and mentorship services. All services are designed to support your career development and job search strategy but do not guarantee employment, interview selection, or specific outcomes.
- Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information regarding your career history, education, and goals.
- Respond to requests for information or feedback in a timely manner, generally within three (3) days.
- Acknowledge that you are solely responsible for final employment-related decisions and actions taken based on our guidance.
- Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full prior to the commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes, unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is accepted via Stripe.
- All payment obligations are non-transferable.
- Cancellations and Refund Policy
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service to qualify for a full refund.
- If work has commenced, partial refunds may be offered at the sole discretion of Prince & Mercer Communication Pte Ltd.
- No refunds are issued once final resumes, deliverables, or completed mentorship sessions have been delivered.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to be considered valid. All approved refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) business days. CareerStudio reserves the right to refuse refund requests that do not comply with these terms.
- Revisions Policy
- Resume packages include up to two (2) rounds of revisions, to be requested within seven (7) days of receiving the first draft.
- Additional revisions or major changes (e.g., rebranding, significant career shifts) may incur extra charges, subject to prior agreement.
- Turnaround Time
- Typical delivery for the first draft is within seven (7) business days from receipt of all required information.
- Delays caused by late client responses will extend the timeline accordingly.
- Expedited services may be available at additional cost.
- Confidentiality and Privacy
- All client information is treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent.
- We will securely delete or destroy all personal data within thirty (30) days of service completion unless otherwise agreed. However, anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for internal quality and training purposes.
- Intellectual Property
- You own the final resume, cover letter, and other customized deliverables created specifically for you.
- CareerStudio retains ownership of all templates, frameworks, tools, and proprietary materials used in the service delivery.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our proprietary templates or methodologies without written permission.
- Disclaimers
- CareerStudio provides career-related advice, resources, and documents based on professional best practices.
- We do not guarantee job offers, interviews, promotions, or admissions to educational programs.
- Outcomes depend on a variety of external factors beyond our control, including labor market conditions, employer preferences, and the accuracy of information provided by the client.
- Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerStudio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services.
- CareerStudio’s total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the services.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CareerStudio and Prince & Mercer Communication Pte Ltd from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the services provided.
- Third-Party Services
- We may recommend or link to third-party websites and platforms. These links are provided for your convenience only.
- We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, terms, or services of third-party providers.
- Force Majeure
- CareerStudio shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or technological disruptions.
- Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
- Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time.
- Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Severability
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- Entire Agreement
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Prince & Mercer Communication Pte Ltd concerning your use of CareerStudio’s services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
